Text | South Gardner, Sep. 5, 1883 J. B. Pierce Esq. Dear Sir, Yours with information regarding my ancestors was duly received for which I enclose your $3. I shall confer with Mr. Huling at Fitchburg soon. It is but ten miles from here. I shall also write Mr. Charles Brown and possibly may come down this season. My object in looking up my ancestry is simply one of curiosity and a desire which we all have to know from whence they came. It seems the Charles Browns were and are quite numerous. I have a grandson, Charles, had a brother and he a son Charles. My father was Charles, born in Thompson Ct. in 1790. His father was Charles, born Aug 6th, 1759. His father Alexander was the son of Charles whose estate he and his mother Eleanor settled and the last mentioned Charles was, it seems, the son of Beriah. If you ascertain anything more in regard to the family let me hear from you and I will pay you for your trouble. For what you have done I am very gratefull. After consulting Mr. Huling will write you again. Yours, L.W. Brown | |
