Obituary of Iola Kinney from Fremont (NE) Tribune,
Wednesday, Mar 05, 2008 - 11:32:49 am CST
The funeral for Iola A. Kinney, 94, of West Point will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point.
She died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at West Point Living Center.
She was born May 8, 1913, on a ranch near Missoula, Mont., and was raised by her parents, Frederick and Sadie (Davison) Young in Crofton where she attended school. She married Herbert Kinney on April 15, 1938, in Bloomfield and moved to West Point in 1949. They were married 58 years. She worked as a clerk at Baumann?s Department Store and Lil Carmody Dress Shop from 1950 to 1975, when she retired. Her husband preceded her in death April 24, 1996.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and taught Sunday school.
Survivors include: two sons, Robert ?Bob? (and wife, Dee) Hoesing, from a previous marriage, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Gary (and wife, Lois) Kinney of Hartington; a daughter, Sherry (and husband, Bill) Rasmus of West Point; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday at Stokely Funeral Home in West Point with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Mount Hope Cemetery Memorial Fund.

Obituary of Robert L. Hoesing
Robert L. Hoesing, age 78, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on June 25, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Robert was born on January 2, 1933 in Crofton, Nebraska, a son of the late Leroy H. and Iola Davis Hoesing. Robert had served in the US Army. He was a retired school teacher and coach from Harrison School District # 2. He had also worked as a Business Development Manager. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He is survived by his wife, DeVoe J. Beems Hoesing, 3 children, Dawn (Dave) Bellis, David Hoesing and Jane (Mike) Williams, 2 step-daughters, Colleen Sandberg and Corrine (Bill) Transue, a sister, Sherry (Bill) Rasmus, a brother, Gary (Lois) Kinny, half-sister, Janice (Bill)Strop, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Alice A. McPherson Hoesing in August of 1992. Robert never met a person he didn't like or one who didn't like him. At his request, cremation has taken place with private family services. Memorial donations may be made to the Colorado Division of Wildlife through the funeral home office.
