- Jane Cummings, 92, of Schenectady passed away February 23, 2007, at The Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, on September 30, 1914, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Bell McCotter. She was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools. She was a member of Stanford United Methodist Church. She was a sales associate with Coplon's Department Store for many years, until it's closing. Mrs. Cummings was predeceased by her husband, Richard Cummings, who died in 2003. She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Cummings and daughter-in-law, Judy Cummings. Survivors include her grandchildren, Amy (Sherman) Hallock of Florida, Vicki (Del) Adair, Sharon (Gene) Banks, Terri (Tammy) Holton, Edward Holton, Richard (Silvia) Holton Jr., all of Schenectady , and Kathleen (Bill) Bohannon of Florida; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
