    • Louise McAnally of Helena went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005. She was born Oct. 7, 1927, in Poplar to O. Bert Forest and Edith (Westfall) Forest. Louise attended grade school in the Arthur School south of Poplar. She graduated from Poplar High School in 1944. During her high school years she helped her parents in the restaurant business. Soon after graduating she began her bookkeeping career at the Co-op Grocery Store in Poplar. On April 1, 1947, she married Brian E. McAnally in Wolf Point.

Louise and Brian raised their four children in Poplar; she often stated these were her most memorable years. While in Poplar Louise was active in Royal Neighbors of America and American Legion Auxiliary. From 1967 to 1975 they owned and operated the Tastee Freez and BJ's Market in 1976-77. In 1978 they moved to Helena, where Louise continued her bookkeeping career at Sheehan's and later Anderson Orthotics. Louise moved to Mossyrock, Wash., in 1991 and returned to East Helena in 1995. She was a bookkeeper for Eastgate Apartments until her retirement in 2001. Playing bridge and putting together large puzzles were her favorite pastimes. During her lifetime Louise spent many hours in various church functions and socializing with friends. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Louise is survived by her children, Don McAnally of Helena; Larry (Susan) McAnally of East Helena; Gwyn (John) Nordwick of Bozeman; and Diana (Harry) Reynolds of Gillette, Wyo; eight grandchildren: Joe (Becky) McAnally and Eddy McAnally of East Helena; Deanna Nordwick of Mansfield, Texas; Bill Nordwick of Amarillo, Texas; Brian Nordwick of Bozeman; Brenda (Jeremy) Hanson, Jody Strauser, Jenny Strauser and great-granddaughter Brianna Swenson all of Gillette Wyo. She is also survived by brothers Thomas LeRoy Forest of Wolf Point and O.K. (Jeanette) Forest of Fort Peck, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband in 1981, father, mother, and brother Bert Jr.

Services will be at 11 am Saturday, Feb. 19, at Haglar-Anderson Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forestvale Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Cancer Treatment Center of St. Peter's, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601 or donor's choice. [2]
