Barbara R. (Shugart) Locoshonas Aug. 21, 1926 - Feb. 2, 2009 Memorial services for Barbara R. (Shugart) Locoshonas, 82, of White Bear Lake, Minn., formerly of Rochester, Minn., will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, Rochester. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Barbara Ruth Phillips was born Aug. 21, 1926, in Winona, to parents John and Laura (Thurow) Phillips. Barbara died Feb. 2, 2009, at the Ramsey County Care Center in Maplewood, Minn. Barbara graduated from Winona High School. She married Urban Shugart and he passed away in 1968. She later married John Locoshonas and he passed away in 1995. Barbara worked for Standard Lumber in Winona and later moved to Rochester in 1976, where she worked for First Bank until her retirement in 1992. Barbara moved to White Bear Lake in 2006 and lived with her daughter and son-in-law, and later moved to Comforts of Home in White Bear Lake and briefly to the Ramsey County Care Center. Barbara loved animals, especially dogs and her cat, Misty, gardening, knitting and her coffee club in Winona. Survivors include her daughter, Laurie (Joe) Koscianski of White Bear Lake; her two sons, Randy (Sharon) Shugart of Winona, and Mark Shugart of Rochester; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
