Winona Girl Is Married Here Today
Miss Hildred Thurow Becomes Bride of Holland Harvey Wilson of Minneapolis, Formerly of Dakota.
A PRETTY wedding was solemnized this afternoon at 3 30 • o'clock at the home of Mr -and Mrs. Louis Thurow when their daughter, Hildred, became the bride of Rolland Harvey Wilson of Minneapolis. The ceremony was performed before an improvised altar of ferns and tall baskets of gladioli, the Rev. George S. Keller, rector of St. Paul's church, officiating.
Miss Gertrude Thurow of Minneapolis, a sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor. Benjamine B. Souster of St Paul, a fraternity brother of Mr. Wilson, was best man. Little Audrey Thurow, niece of the bride, was flower girl, and carried a basket of Ophelia roses.
Mendelssohn's wedding march was played by Miss Izetta Werner, while the bridal party took their places at the altar. The bride wore a gown of cream point lace over cream satin and carried a shower bouquet.
Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to 35 immediate relatives and friends.
The bride is a graduate of Winona Teachers college and for the past two years has taught in the Winona public schools.
Mr. Wilson is the son of Dr and Mrs. C E Wilson of Dakota, Minn, and is a junior in the medical college o£ the University of Minnesota. He is a member of Phi Beta Pi fraternity.
Out-of-town guests included Dr and Mrs. C E Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Wilson, Miss Sylvia Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Smith, all of Dakota, Benjamin B Souster of St Paul, Josh Armstrong of Minneapolis, and Miss Gertrude Thurow o! Minneapolis.
Mr' and Mrs Wilson will spend the remainder of the month in the North and after November 1 will be at home at the Elmherst apartments, Minneapolis. [1]
