408 | ![]() | Richard W. Staack and Family - daughter Evangeline and wife Edith Bertha (Brandis) Staack Photographer might be Banks Brothers which operated their studio at 19 Twentieth Ave. West in Duluth from 1894 to 1896. Individuals in the photograph are most likely Richard W. Staack, his daughter, Evangeline, and wife, Edith Bertha (Brandis) Staack. Evangeline and her parents are listed in the 1895 Minnesota State Census as living in Duluth so it supports that this photograph is this family. Evangeline was born in 1890 so the girl could certainly be four or five years old. Richard was born in 1864 so he would be 31 in 1895. Edith was born in 1865 so she would have been 29 in 1895. |

415 | ![]() | Roscoe and Henrietta Gerlicher Photographer is Chas. A. Tenney, Winona, MN. Photo was taken before the brother, Stanley, was born in September of 1890 so it would probably be sometime in 1889 or early 1890. The children in this photograph were identified by Patricia Ann (Swoffer) Lund in December of 2018. Diane (Pylkas) Smith sent me a copy of this same picture in 2003. She said her grandmother, Mary Louise Staack, daughter of Carl E. and Augusta Staack, had written on the back of the photograph that these were Staack cousins. |

429 | ![]() | Sophia (Staack) Gerlicher and Herman Gerlicher Photographer is Schlattman Bros., St. Paul. This studio operated at 271 E. 7th St. in St. Paul from 1882 to 1886. If the photograph was taken during these years, Sophia and Herman would have been 20 to 24 years old. It is interesting that the photograph was taken in St. Paul since they lived in Winona. They were married in 1886 so this could possibly be a picture after they were married. |

431 | ![]() | Sophia Staack portrait as a girl Photographer is Elmer & Tenney, Winona, MN Note that Elmer & Tenney operated at 18 Center Street in Winona from 1875 to 1882.
