    ORSINI, NATHAN C. 21, of Belvidere, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous one year battle with brain cancer. Born on November 11, 1994 in Pembroke Pines, FL, the beloved son of Daniel J. and Christa (Cotter) Orsini of Belvidere, New Jersey (formerly of Narragansett, RI), he moved to Belvidere in 2001. He is the cherished brother of Hannah J. Orsini. Nathan was enrolled in his sophomore year at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT when diagnosed with his illness on his 20th birthday. A member of Quinnipiac's Honors Program, he was a student in the School of Communications and received its Outstanding Academic Achievement Award as a freshman. A 2013 graduate of Belvidere High School, he was a member of the Warren County Top 10, the National Honor Society, the boys' soccer team, and participated in New Jersey Boys State. Nathan had worked for several summers as a Belvidere recreation counselor and as a server at The Chelsea at Brookfield. Nathan was an avid soccer player and fan, and during his illness was a coach for the Independence Comet girls travel soccer team. He enjoyed rock climbing, hiking, spelunking, and ballroom dancing. In addition to his parents and sister, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Col. Richard and Edith Orsini of Gainesville, FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and numerous devoted friends, especially his girlfriend Mackenzie Wieder. He was also the grandson of the late Jane Orsini, William H. Cotter, Jr., and Hildegard W. Cotter. Calling hours are from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2015 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Monday, December 7, 2015 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ.     William H. Cotter Jr.
    Chief of State Recreation Dept.

    William H. Cotter Jr., 82, of Lambert Street, Narragansett, die on Monday, June 6, 1994, in Westerly Health Center, Westerly. He was the husband of Hildegard (Uebach) Wright Cotter.

    Mr. Cotter was chief of the state Divsion of Parks and Recreation from 1952 until retiring in 1973.

    Born in Providence, a son of the late William and Sadie (Barney) Cotter, he had lived in Narragansett most of his life.

    Mr. Cotter was a 1933 graduate of the former Rhode Island State College, now the University of Rhode Island, where he was a member of Theta Chi fraternity. In the early 1940's he served as Rhode Island state administrator for the National Youth Administration. He was later the assistant to the general manager of the former Standard Machinery Co., Providence. He had also worked in the URI Athletic Department.

    Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Peter B. Cotter of Warwick; a daughter, Christa Cotter Orsini of Pembroke Pines, Fla; two stepsons, Frederick T. Wright III of New London, Conn., and Stephan B. Wright of Northport, Fla; two stepdaughters, Heidi M. Reardon of Narragansett and Gretchen A. Tingley of Charlestown; two brothers, Walter E. Cotter of Barrington and Richard S. Cotter of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandson.

    He was father of the late William H. Cotter III and brother of the late Alice C. Robinson.

    The funeral will be held today at 9 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Fagan Jr. Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Thomas More Church, Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale.

    William married Hildegaard Uebach on 1 May 1965 in Narragansett, Washington County, Rhode Island, USA.
