  Independent Journal November 3, 1979 Masonic memorial services are Monday for Philip Joseph Mann, 70, who died Thursday in a Sonoma Convalescent Hospital after a long illness. A native of San Francisco, he lived 5 years in Sonoma County. He was a retired banker, and had worked 30 years for United California Bank, San Francisco. He was a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno. He was a member of Fairfax Lodge No. 556; Masons, Larkspur; the Marin Commandry No. 73; Knights Templar of California; Marin Chapter No. 102; Royal Arch Masons of California; Council No. 2; and Royal and Select Masters of California. He was a life member of the Olympic Club, San Francisco, a member of Islam Temple Shrine, San Francisco, and a past secretary of Marin Shrine Club. He is survived by his wife, Barbara C. Mann, Sonoma; 3 daughters, Carolyn Schwab of San Rafael; Phyllis Vasco of Petaluma; and Donna Sousa, Oregon; and 6 grandchildren. Services under the auspices of Temple Lodge No. 14, Masons, are at 11 am. in the chapel of Bates, Evans, & Fehrensen. Inurnment has been held. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Cancer Society or Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, San Francisco. [1]
