    • NOTES:
Alice Mendes notes are quoted below:
In 1997, at Genealogical section of Carlsbad City Library, Carlsbad, CA, I found the following:
From Fulton County, Ind. Cemetery Inscriptions, Vol. 4. Rochester
Twp and city by Jean C. and Wendell C. Tombaugh--publi by Tombaugh Publishing House. 700 Pontiac Street, Rochester, IN 46975, p 57:
      Burton Cemetery, Row 1 -
      McAnnaly, Martha A., dau of W. & E. McAnally,
      died Feb. 11, 1856, age 8yr-6mo-16da.
with note: This cemetery is in Rochester twp, north-west of Rochester, on the north side of county, road 200 N, between 200-300 W (closer to 200 W).
At the time of this reading, Burton cemetery was full of weeds, tree
starts and leaves and very hard to find the grave markers.
The rows were not clearly defined, but seem to run north &
south; and were numbered from west to east. The stones were read
from south to north. Information was recorded in November
      1974 (3 1/2 hrs). [2]
