    • January 15, 1917 Winona Republican Herald:
      "Sarah E. McNally was born at Delaware, Williams County, Ohio February 27, 1834. She came with her parents to Caledonia, Houston County, Minnesota in 1856, later to Winona County in 1868. She died January 5, 1917, age 82 years, 10 months and 8 days. Funeral services were held at C.T. Murrays. Interment was held at Bush Cemetery."
      "Mr & Mrs G.H. Brown and son Ralph attended the funeral of Sarah McNally at Ashton Sunday."
      "Charles Nagle and wife Elsie Murray, Ed Sims, and Mrs Wilson attended the funeral of Miss Sarah McNally last Sunday at Ashton."
