  Was he the Daniel Barney who d. 15 March 1822, age 84, at Hartwick, N.Y., age 84? Probably not. I have a death date of 15 Feb 1806 in my records. "Jacob Barney, 1634" p 123 by Mary E. Vital Records DAR Patriot Index, p 38 "Seven Pierce Families," p.201 CFI Mass. (IGI) "History of Swansea, Mass." Vital Records of Rehoboth, Mass.," pp.20, 530. LDS FGS Carma Coffin, 1237 East Santa Clara, Ventura, Cal. "Jacob Barney, 1634" gives his death date 15 Feb 1806'. A private record says he died about 1806, but can he be the one who died 15 march 1822, age 84, at Hartwick, N.Y.? While his chief residence was Swansea, Mass., he spent many years in Scituate and other Rhode Island towns. A complete list of his children is not found. From Aunt Betty's notes: Lieutenant in Capt.
