This book focuses on the author’s many years of teaching in New York schools. \u00c2\u00a0There are many interesting stories with flashbacks to his childhood growing up in Limerick, Ireland. \u00c2\u00a0Some of the stories of Ireland, I believe, had already been told in Angela’s Ashes.<\/em><\/p>\n

The narration of the book is\u00c2\u00a0definitely a plus. \u00c2\u00a0Having the author tell his own story in his own dialect really added to the effect. \u00c2\u00a0The book, however, did not have nearly the impact that Angela’s Ashes <\/em>had. \u00c2\u00a0 McCourt seems a bit tired as he reads his final book. \u00c2\u00a0Nonetheless, the\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0book is worthwhile due to the human elements contained in his reminiscences. \"2<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
