It chronicles his experiences, first guiding Jews over the mountains to Switzerland, and later his role as a spy while he was in the Italian Army and the driver for a Nazi general. The book apparently is based on fact, and the author got a chance to interview the individual before he passed away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I didn&#8217;t know much about what was going on in this part of Italy during the war, so it was interesting to discover the many events that took place.
