I thought it was okay, but not great.  It seemed to lag and I think the narrative about the racial and religious discrimination sometimes got in the way of a compelling story.  I learned a lot about the settlement and development of Pottstown, PA, and that was interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because there were so many characters, I sometimes forgot who was being addressed.  I quickly remembered, but it took a bit of time.  This seemed to distract from the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This book is a selection for the men&#8217;s book club at our country club this coming season.
