He is reclusive but wishes to tell his story for posterity and paints a picture of his wife who had died years earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The book is very strange and a bit hard to understand what is going on and where it is going.  i had inklings of the final result, but I didn&#8217;t get confirmation until the last chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The book won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 2022 as well as many other awards.  I don&#8217;t think it is one of my all-time favorite books, but I give it credit for being original and different.
