There is a little bit of romance, some mystery, and a lot of serendipity. The main character, A.J. Fikry, evolves from a mean, crotchety person to a lovable crotchety individual as he finds his purpose in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The author is a real lover of books, and it shows throughout the story.  There are little book reviews written by the bookseller interspersed throughout the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I read this book much more quickly than I usually read, only to find that I was sad that I had finished it.
