A young French girl gets a job at the library despite the objections of her father.  The novel then flips to another young girl living in Montana in the 1980&#8217;s who befriends the French woman who had married a U.S. serviceman at the end of WWII and had emigrated to Montana.  The story of what happened in Paris unfolds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is well written and the author did a lot of research to determine the circumstances in the library during that time.  The book ends, however, with a lot of issues still unresolved leaving me a bit unsatisfied.
