{"id":1364,"date":"2013-03-13T20:03:15","date_gmt":"2013-03-14T02:03:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.wilsonld.com\/weblog\/?p=1364"},"modified":"2015-06-05T22:42:47","modified_gmt":"2015-06-06T04:42:47","slug":"pursuit-of-honor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wilsonld.com\/weblog\/?p=1364","title":{"rendered":"Pursuit of Honor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>by Vince Flynn, 2009, Simon &amp; Shuster Audio, Read by George Guidall I would like to be able to say that I liked this book, but when two days went by after I finished listening to it, I couldn&#8217;t remember a single thing about it except for one especially weak chapter.\u00c2\u00a0 In this particular chapter, the hero of the book, Mitch Rapp, is testifying in a hearing by the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding the effectiveness of torture.\u00c2\u00a0 The chairman of the committee is portrayed as a real dolt and when she challenges Rapp on his views regarding torture, he counters by charging that she is hypocritical because she supports abortion.\u00c2\u00a0 Come on, Vince Flynn!\u00c2\u00a0 Is this the best that Rapp can come up with?\u00c2\u00a0 This was an incredibly weak performance on the part of our so-called hero.
