Listing of Changes/Additions Made to Information on Web Site

• 04/13/10: I have not been doing a very good job of maintaining this listing of changes over the last few years.  I have finally gotten around to uploading an updated file to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.  The updated file contains 464 new individuals and I have modified the records of 936 individuals (including the new ones) over the past 2 1/2 years.
• 12/27/07: Changes/Additions to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database
  • Added 181 descendants and related individuals of William Curtis Harvey and Rachel Caroline Gray to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.  Deleted Ethel Maude Horton and her daughter from the Database as she was incorrectly identified as the wife of Clarence William Harvey.  She was actually the wife of Clarence H. Harvey who was a merchant in Winona, MN, who was apparently unrelated.  Also added dates and other information to 25 existing records in this line.
  • Added 24 additional ancestors and related individuals of Alden Harvey and Mary "Polly" Hazeltine.  Added dates and other information to 6 existing records in this line.
• 12/20/2007: Added 61 descendants and related individuals of William Henry McNally, Sr., and Myrtle Marie Davis to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.  Also added dates and other information to 26 existing records in this line.
• 9/15/2007: Changes/Additions to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database
  • Added 45 additional descendants and related individuals of  Zachariah Harvey and Mary Norcross as a result of research in Caledonia County, VT (especially Passumpsic, VT).
  • Added 29 additional descendants and related individuals of John Banker Scribner and Sarah Elizabeth Wilson.
  • Determined from cemetery records and vital statistics that Captain Nathan Brown (son of Ebenezer Brown and Mary Congdon) married Elizabeth Brown (daughter of John Brown and Elizabeth Eldred).  They are both buried in RI Historical cemetery #048 at the Meadows Office Park in North Kingstown, RI.
• 8/8/2007: Determined that Sarah Elizabeth Wilson, daughter of Edward Wilson was also the grandmother of Elizabeth Orilla Davison, who married James Judson Wilson.  James Judson Wilson was also Sarah Wilson's nephew.  Added John B. Scribner, Sarah's husband and 11 children to the RootsWeb database.
• 7/31/2007: Added some additional update comments to the Wilson Cemetery page from 2005 and 2006.
• 7/30/2007: Added 83 ancestors of Fletcher Harvey to the RootsWeb database.
• 7/27/2007: Reconfigured website to eliminate non-standard coding previously generated by FrontPage.  Content was not affected.
• 9/23/2006: Changes/Additions to RootsWeb WorldConnect Database
  • Added 340 descendants and related individuals of Mercy Sweet and Anthony Rathbone/Rathbun to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database.  These additions were obtained from the Rathbone Genealogy, by John C. Cooley, published in 1898.
  • Added 57 descendants and related individuals of Amanda Everts and Leonard Brown.  These additions were obtained from another RootsWeb database.
• 8/28/2006: Added Leonard Brown's will to the website with a link in the documents section on the homepage.  The will provides for the sale of the former Jonathan Brown farm at auction since Leonard had no direct descendants.
• 8/21/2006: Added 83 descendants and related individuals of William Henry McNally, Sr., and Myrtle Marie Davis to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.
• 8/14/2006: Added 4 descendants and related individuals of Jeremiah Brown and Hannah Sherman to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.
• 8/12/2006: Added 2 children of Reynolds H. Brown and Esther Boynton to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase. Added 2nd husband of Havilla Harrinton.
• 8/3/2006: Added 49 individuals who were either descendants and related individuals of Benjamin Congdon and Elizabeth Albro or ancestors of his son, William Congdon, and daughter-in-law, Margaret Brownell, to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.
• 8/2/2006: Added 20 ancestors or related individuals of Susan Eleanor Brayman to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.  These additions came from a review of Daniel Stedman's Journal which was written in South Kingstown in the early part of the 19th century.
• 7/22/2006: Added 18 descendants and related individuals of Edmund Arnold and Eleanor Brown to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Datatebase.

• 3/29/2006: Added article about Jonathan Brown's erroneous DAR listing in the documents section of the main page.
• 3/14/2006: Added 463 descendants and related individuals of Judge Samuel Hopkins and Honor Brown to the RootsWeb database.
• 2/26/2006: Added 86 descendants and related individuals of John Harvey and Lydia Bramen to the RootsWeb database.
• 2/17/2006: Updated Larry's ancestor report.  Changed format of this report from HTML to PDF because HTML report in Legacy would not produce pictures.
• 2/12/2006: Added memorial page for Larry's mom (pictures, obituary, etc.)
• 2/12/2006: Added 56 descendants of Jonathan Sherman and Pauline Harvey and Jonathan Sherman and Lydia Harvey to RootsWeb WorldConnect Database.
• 2/5/2006: Added death date for Miloty Elizabeth Vitosky to RootsWeb Worldconnect Database.  She was Larry's mother and she died on 31 Jan. 2006 in Irving, Texas.

• 11/27/2005: Added 152 descendants of Arnold Brown and Esther Hicks.
• 11/23/2005: Changes/Additions to RootsWeb WorldConnect Database
  • Added 11 ancestors (Braymans, Harveys, Shermans, and Wilsons) of Abby Sherman, Jane's grandmother.
  • Changed Abby Sherman's name to Alice (Abby) Susan Sherman to reflect name as recorded on death certificate.
  • Deleted record of Alice Sherman to correct error in transcription form Alice (Abby) Susan Sherman's death record.  Alice was thought to have been a sister of Abby because of this transcription error.
• 10/23/2005: Added 18 descendants and related individuals (spouses and spouses' parents) of the Brown Family in North Kingstown as a result of research done at the Exeter, Rhode Island, Town Hall and some additional finds at the Family Search Site of the Church of Latter Day Saints.  Also modified an additional 15 records of these individuals.  All changes were made to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database.
• 10/17/2005: Found resting places of Barzillai Douglass and his wife, Mercy Congdon,  in a transcription of Highland Cemetery (formerly known as Douglass Cemetery, in Altona, Clinton County, New York.  They were the parents of Ann Douglass who married Jonathan Brown.  Also found the resting place of Sarah Newton, wife of Charles Brown, who is Larry's GGG grandmother, in the same cemetery transcription.  Updated records of Edmond (Deacon) Brown's family who was a son of Jonathan Brown who stayed in Altona.  Modified information on 13 individual in the RootsWeb database and added 4 individuals. 
• 10/13/2005: Added 25 additional Brown family descendants in North Kingstown, RI, and updated some additional records of those descendants in the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database based on research done at the North Kingstown Town Hall.
• 9/29/2005: Added Bridget O'Neil, sister of Anna O'Neil,  and her husband Patrick McElroy and 33 descendants and related individuals (spouses) to the RootsWeb Worldconnect Database.
• 9/27/2005: Added 25 descendants and related individuals (spouses and spouses' parents) of  Beriah Brown in North Kingstown, RI, to the RootsWeb Worldconnect Database and modified an additional 15.
• 9/24/2005: Added 51 descendants and related individuals (spouses) of Sarah (Sadie) Wilson and Newton Grant to the RootsWeb Worldconnect Database.
• 9/23/2005: Added 21 descendants and related individuals (spouses) of Beriah Brown, 3rd, and Amy Shearman to the RootsWeb Worldconnect Database. Changed the name of Beriah's son to Jesse from Chefse which was originally copied from the title page of the Beriah Brown Bible that is in the RI Historical Society in Providence

• 3/26/2005: Updated information on Hannah Gnapauff, wife of James G. Wilson, on RootsWeb WorldConnect Database.  Added her grave to listing of gravesites at the Wilson Cemetery on this website.

  • Finished adding approximately 84 descendants and related individuals of Nathanial Brown and Mary Wheeler of Groton, Connecticut.  Updated an additional 34 individual records that already existed.  This information was provided via "post-ems" to our RootsWeb WorldConnect file by Mary Ann Smith.
  • Added approximately 35 descendants and related individuals of Samuel Phillips and Abigail Brown.
  • Reformatted all locations to conform to city/town, county/district, state/province, country, church/cemetery/etc. format.  Added counties to numerous locations using Legacy Geo Location List file.

  • Added approximately 80 descendants of Christopher Brown, son of Beriah Brown, 3rd,  to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Database.
  • Added 5 children to Anthony Rathbun and Elizabeth (Eliza) Brown.
• 12/11/2004: Added page to web site regarding restoration of Wilson Cemetery in Dakota, MN (including a revised listing of all gravestones and recently taken pictures)
• 11/13/2004 - Changed all Vitosky's in my database to Vitovsky except for Joseph Vitosky (my grandfather) and his children.  Apparently he was the only one in the family to drop the "v" from the family name.

  • Changed approximately 560 individuals status who erroneously classified as living to deceased.  This will allow access to information on those individuals which was previously excluded because of erroneous "living" designation.
  • Modified the two ancestor reports to show living individuals' names as "living" to provide additional privacy.
  • Added 10 descendants of Daniel J. Luther and Vida Virginia Wilson and modified information on other descendants of this couple.
  • Merged M.A. and Mary A. Lnu, wife of John Tribby, and their children.

  • RootsWeb has now changed its policy so that all living individuals must be listed with first names as "Living".  Previously it was an option to use actual first names but suppress facts for living individuals.  The privacy policy published on our web site has been updated to reflect this change.

  • Added 131 descendants and spouses of Jeremiah Platt Hubbard and Joanna Brown to my database.  58 of these individuals are living and are excluded from publication on RootsWeb at the request of the submitter.
  • Corrected and added information based on 1880 census data made available online by the Church of Latter Day Saints.
  • Made correction to information on Mary Jo Gerlicher to correctly identify her husband.  I previously had her in the wrong generation.
  • Added descendants and information for Herman Brown and Margaret Sullivan
  • Made correction to name of Sophia Dzak which is actually Rak..  Was provided with a wonderful web site address - http://www.geocities.com/straszecin/straszecin.html  - for residents of Straszecin Parish in Poland which included residents of Grabiny, Poland.  Added this site as a new link to our home page.

  • Deleted Samuel Champlin, husband of Hannah Arnold, and all descendants based on information provided by Robert Champlin.  It seems that the Hannah Arnold that Samuel married was not the Hannah Arnold who was the daughter of Elinor Brown.
  • Updated information on the Lindsay line, descendants of Samuel Brown and Elizabeth Wheeler.
  • Updated information on Vera Dale Bartholemew and her husband, William Robert Armstrong.
  • Updated birth date of Delbert L. Wilson to Feb. 13, 1928, based on obituary.
